Chris VLOG - Day 67

As if a broken rudder was not a challenge, the crew have now broken an oar gate due to the rough conditions and a big wave coming over the back of the boat. "Rowlocks" I hear you say, and I think this is what the crew said (or something like this1) This is their final spare so if they have another mishap, they will be down to just 1 rower, which is far from ideal especially as they approach the coast - without forward propulsion Goldie is impossible to steer and at the mercy of the wind. Chris and I found out the hard way when we were rowing on a training row on the Swan River and the Fremantle Doctor westerly wind got up and we went in circles and only just made it back in without assistance!
